Cranial Facial Release (CFR) is an advanced endo-nasal "balloon assisted" cranial adjusting technique that can help alleviate various structural and neurological disorders. CFR is designed to mobilize the cranial bones, unlock cranial fixations, open breathing passageways, facilitate cerebral spinal fluid (CSF) flow, increase vascular flow to the cranium, and optimize brain function. By addressing these underlying issues, CFR can often improve symptoms related to a wide range of conditions.
At our practice, Dr. Scott is one of the few doctors certified in CFR Technique. To become qualified in this specialized procedure, CFR doctors must undergo extensive post-graduate training. This ensures that our patients receive the highest level of care and expertise when undergoing CFR treatment.
It's important to note that CFR is not directed at the treatment of any one specific disease or disorder. Instead, its primary objective is to optimize overall cranial function and health. By taking a comprehensive approach to treatment, CFR can help improve a wide range of symptoms and conditions, including:

Cranial facial release (CFR) is an advanced endo-nasal cranial adjusting technique that has been used quite successfully in the treatment of various neurological and structural disorders.
It is important to realize that the skull is NOT one solid bone. It is made up of 22 individual bones that actually move every time you breathe, or at least they’re supposed to. The objective of CFR is to mobilize the bones in the face and cranium and to open the breathing passageways with the purpose of mobilizing the cranial bones and facilitating normal cranial function. CFR is performed by inserting a tiny balloon in the nose (nasopharynx) then quickly inflating them to mobilize the bones of the face and cranium. It feels very similar to the sensation experienced when jumping into a swimming pool and having water shoot up your nose. However, the whole procedure takes about 2 to 3 seconds, and consists of a series of about 4 treatments over a 7-10 day span.
Most people who come in for CFR are often last resort patients who have tried everything else first. CFR often succeeds where other forms of conventional treatment have failed. Schedule your consultation here.
